Interesting and Ironic. . .

I am in Cambodia, almost at the end of our 4 1/2 week trip through SE Asia. Today I visited the Temples of Angkor, a complex declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992 and certainly high on the world's list of ancient wonders.

Ironically, I ended up at an internet cafe to catch up on some world news and came across this article in the Washington Post. Definitely not unexpected, but still sad to read, as it speaks not only for Angkor, but a host of other incredible sites and countries around the world that have to contend with the tourism question. I will comment more when I am back "home" in China and have free internet, but for now, please read:
